for enhancing the delivery of care to the patient by assisting in
the provision of PROM, transfers, and ambulation. The mobility aide
works closely with the interdisciplinary team including nursing,

- Knowledgeable of appropriate PROM techniques, transfer methods,
and ambulation.
- Safely utilizes appropriate equipment including gait belts,
walkers, wheelchairs, etc.
- Obtains and maintains list of patients who are receiving
mobility services.
- Mobilizes patients within 24 hours after receiving the
order.
- Mobilizes patients at least two times per shift or as ordered
by the physician.
- Demonstrates proper body mechanics and safe patient handling in
all mobility tasks.
- Independently proceeds with daily routine without delay.
- Demonstrates flexibility in the work environment.
- Documents using ADL screen with all relevant information.
- Follows code procedures.
- Properly operates unit communication equipment.
- Strict adherence to infection control policies with specific
emphasis on proper hand hygiene.
- Reports information and observations promptly to the
appropriate department (i.e., nursing or
rehabilitation).Education/Experience:Education Required: Completion
of job-specific trainingEducation Preferred: STNA/CNA
trainingExperience Required: The mobility aide must demonstrate the
knowledge and skills appropriate to serve patients of all ages and
those with special needs, developmental challenges, and/or
communication impairments. The aide must be able to communicate in
person and via telephone with other care providers, organize and
prioritize tasks, perform computer documentation, and be able to
perform physically demanding mobility tasks. Experience Preferred:
Experience with patient care and/or mobility.Schedule Details:Day
