Path Engineering LLC (a staffing agency with years of experience helping companies with high-volume hiring needs) is posting this job on behalf of Protempis. The Assembler / Solderer will be responsible for assembling, testing, and packaging laser products in accordance with established quality standards and production schedules. The ideal candidate should have experience in electronic assembly. We are seeking those with strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to follow instructions and communicate well with the team.   • Solder and assemble electronic components and parts into finished products according to established procedures and quality standards.
  • Operate tools and equipment such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, and other hand tools.
  • Conduct functional testing of assembled products to ensure they meet quality specifications.
  • Inspect and identify any defects or discrepancies in products and report them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Package finished products using appropriate materials and methods, ensuring they are properly labeled and documented.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to ensure consistent quality and productivity.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that materials and tools are properly stored and inventory is accurately recorded.
  • Collaborate with other team members and provide feedback for process improvement.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe work environment. Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience
    • Previous experience in production assembly, preferably in the electronics industry.
    • Familiarity with electronic components and wiring.
    • Strong Experience with soldering techniques.
    • Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings.
    • Knowledge of basic math and measurement tools.
    • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components.
    • Strong attention to detail and quality orientation.
    • Ability to use basic computer applications for data entry and documentation.
    • Ability to lift 25-30 pounds. Occasionally 50 lbs. Desired Knowledge, Skills & Experience
      • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
      • Knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems.
      • Experience with electronic testing equipment and tools.
      • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose assembly issues.
      • Knowledge of inventory management and control practices.
      • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and documentation related to electronic and laser products.
