Silgan Closures is a leading global supplier of closure systems made of metal or plastic for food and beverages packed in glass and plastic containers. Work from drawings, sketches, verbal instructions, and charts including making layouts and sketches as required Fabricate, anneal, temper, harden, and finish parts to precise specifications Set up, lubricate, and operate metal cutting, forming, and grinding machines Perform hand operations employing hand tools Inspect and test equipment and machines to determine need for service and maintenance Layout, fabricate, inspect, install, test, assemble, dismantle, disassemble, repair and fit machines, equipment, parts, dies, and tools Follow all plant food safety procedures Job Requirements The qualified candidate will have the following skills and experience: A minimum of 2-5 years machinist experience in a manufacturing environment. The ability read and apply information from blueprints and other technical manuals.
