Responsibilities: -- + Knowledge of systems engineering in support of system definition, development, integration, verification methods, sustainment, risk modeling/simulation, testing and evaluation, human system integration (HSI), crew stations engineering, OSS&E efforts, interoperability requirements, and airworthiness certification across a wide range of hardware and software systems, including ground based systems. + Review/develop/update applicable program documentation for systems engineering relevant requirements/issues. + Participate in and assist in the planning of systems engineering risk assessments by establishing a risk management review, coordinating action item status, and updating risk management metrics. + Support the program office Airworthiness Certification Working Group (ACWG) by supporting, developing, and maintaining a comprehensive Modification Airworthiness Criteria Certification (MACC) compliance package and conducting an airworthiness risk assessment. + Support the planning and execution of the Airworthiness Review Board Meeting in support of obtaining military flight releases/Military Type Certificates. + Produce draft documentation as requested or necessitated by programmatic limits based on cost, schedule, and performance to support the airworthiness process. + Other tasks as assigned. Required Experience -- Required Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in engineering (ABET-accredited) + Minimum of 15 years' functional area experience + Typically works on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently. + May oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job. + Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs + US Citizenship required. Candidate must be able to pass a Special Agent Check (SAC) prior to hire date. In addition, candidate must be able to successfully obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
