This individual provides leadership, guidance, coordination of assignments and works with their manager to direct the team. Essential functions are systems analysis, planning, assisting operational staff with workflow design, Epic build, testing and implementation. This individual is responsible for understanding the business workflows and associated clinical workflows, processes, policies and operations. This role is responsible for managing, organizing and tracking support and enhancement requests and tickets and following up to ensure said are resolved. The person in this role performs in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details and other relevant technical issues associated with the implementation of Epic. This role will also be responsible for developing and documenting internal procedures for the team. Must establish and maintain a detailed understanding and working knowledge of the current Epic Revenue Cycle implementation and its relationship to other information system integrations within DCH.Systems ManagementManage and facilitate team processes and procedures.Collaborate with organization representatives, departments and sections, as well as outside consultants, in the planning, development, testing, revision, and maintenance of enterprise Epic systemDemonstrates critical thinking skills, functioning independently to arrive at appropriate solutions as a result of sound decision makingProvides effective communication on changes, updates and new system information to usersDemonstrates ability to prioritize changes to the systemMaintain documentation and tracking of required fixes, enhancements, and testingDemonstrates flexibility in adapting to new, different, or changing requirements (i.e., changes in workflows, process and changes in policy/procedure)Establishes change control procedures for the systemAssesses and thoroughly coordinates team planning and testing of new releases before permitting access to usersAnalyzes, tests and assist with implementation of interfaces, conversions, and upgradesInvestigates, documents, escalates and solves system problems.Perform other duties as required or assigned.Project ManagementDemonstrates knowledge and skill of workflow identification and mappingIdentifies, analyzes, modifies and/or develops alternative processes to work with system implementationMaintains, manages and communicates on work backlog and roadmapsProvides effective communication to team, subject matter experts, Epic and end usersProvides effective and proactive communication between operational staff and ITDemonstrates ability to effectively lead meetings and resolve conflictsLeadership/Organizational/Planning SkillsDemonstrates knowledge and use of organizational policies and proceduresSupports strategic clinical and business initiatives into team operationsPlans and conducts meetingsOrganizes and documents issues, changes and updatesCollaborates with other departments and outside vendors for implementationPatient Safety/Quality Improvement/Regulatory ComplianceEnsures patient safety standards with regard to design, build and maintenance of Epic are employedParticipates in the development and achievement of continuous quality improvement of the system.Develops reasonable and timely solutions to meet legal and regulatory requirements- Onsite preferred but will consider strong remote candidates- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; commensurate experience acceptable- Exceptional organizational and communication experience required- SBO, Claims and Benefits Engine experience strongly desired- Epic HB/PB Certification and/or commensurate experience requiredFull time
