Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for field service coordination. This includes Field
Service scheduling, billing, and job
coordination with internal resources and external customers.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES include:
Interact with Customers, Engineering, Purchasing, Planning,
Accounting and Director of Operations to
ensure successful field service jobs.
Summarize Field Service time and prepare billing information.
Manage warranty issues and resolve quickly with detailed
documentation.
Organize documentation to prepare field service personnel for
upcoming jobs along with travel itineraries.
Prepare / Review service reports (post trip).
Develop technical bulletins (troubleshooting) to help educate/train
customers.
Determine field service schedules, sequences and assignments for
work, based on job priority, availability
of equipment and skill level of personnel.
Monitor employees' productivity and review work performance.
Requisition materials and supplies, such as tools, equipment or
replacement parts.
Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair or
maintenance techniques, operational
procedures or equipment use.
Develop, implement or evaluate maintenance policies and
procedures.
Compute estimates and actual costs of factors such as materials,
labor, or outside contractors.
Work with senior management to ensure that Field Service is meeting
business needs and expectations.
Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned.
Minimal requirements for education, knowledge and experience:
Associate/2 year degree in an engineering field, Business or
Operations Management or related field
with 5-10 years of manufacturing experience; or an equivalent
combination of education and experience.
Experience in the build-to-order manufacturing environment,
manufacturing methods, process improvement
programs and procedures required.
Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints,
customer specifications for
equipment, manuals, instructions, reports, financial statements,
etc
Able to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions,
percentages, area, circumference
and volume basic algebra and geometry.
Other Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and
business software applicable to
the manufacturing setting, as well as manage the timekeeping system
for accurate payroll.
This position requires the ability to perform the essential duties
and responsibilities in the following environment:
Work schedule generally consists of 50 hours per week, which may
include on-call status, evenings and/or weekends.
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the
employee is regularly required to sit;
use hands or fingers, talk and/or hear. The employee is also
required to stand, walk and reach with arms
and hands. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50
