Madison Correctional Institution is located in London, OH 43140Principal AccountabilitiesServe as a liaison between Sinclair Community College (SCC) and the correctional facility warden, educational staff, and administrationAssess instructional needs and opportunitiesCollaborate to develop and implement certificate programs with SCC department chairpersons and deans to meet the incarcerated persons post-secondary educational needs in correctional settingsHours will be Monday - Friday 12p-8p or 1pm to 9pm and occasional Saturdays 7:30am-3:30pm (1 day during preceding week will be exchanged for Saturday coverage)Orient staff and instructional faculty to teaching in a correctional setting and working with the diverse needs of incarcerated adult learners and correctional staffOversee security clearance process and assist in resolving instructor needs when neededSupervise the assistant coordinator in handling day-to-day operational activitiesOversee support services for incarcerated adult learners such as placement testing, academic advising, registration, textbooks, tutoring, and attendanceEnsure all policies and regulations of Madison Correction Institution,the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (DRC), and SCC are followed and enforcedMaintain records that conform to DRC and SCC Provide accurate and on-time reports to Madison Correction Institution, SCC, and DRC This position is also responsible for overseeing all facilities and equipment related to the delivery of SCC programs to ensure that applicable policies of SCC and DRC are followed, most particularly security. This position is in continual contact with the Regional Director of AJT and the Chief Officer of Advanced Job Training Coordinator. RequirementsMinimum of a bachelor's degree required, master degree preferredAbility and willingness to work Monday - Friday 12p-8p or 1pm to 9pm and occasional Saturdays 7:30am-3:30pm (1 day during preceding week will be exchanged for Saturday coverage)Minimum of 3 years professional work experience in a correctional, law enforcement, or higher education setting requiredPrevious work experience in a supervisory role and/or an educational setting preferredAbility to exercise leadership for education program development in the unique and complex environment of a correctional facility requiredCurrent working knowledge of and successful professional experience working within the criminal justice system requiredProfessional communication skills to include but not limited to oral and written requiredAbility to successfully work with diverse constituents, including college faculty and administrators as well as inmates and staff in correctional facilitiesAbility to supervise staff and manage resource and operations effectively and efficiently requiredAbility to work on multiple tasks simultaneously while providing great attention to detail while meeting all prescribed deadlines requiredCurrent working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn necessary college related databases required PDN-99213787-99ec-458f-97fe-83a28df0bedb
