As the Director, Operations (OHDC), you are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day Operations for the entire campus. Setting strategic initiatives that support the GM s goals/vision, accountable for operations P&L, and provide coaching, and training a team of Shift Managers to meet established productivity requirements. Your goal is to ensure your team maintains the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, performance, and engagement. Daily responsibilities will include hitting shipping SLA s, maintaining work standards, driving our Labor Management program, and ensuring Associate engagement remains a top priority. You will be expected to innovate new approaches, refine current processes, and grow efficiencies as we continue to grow and expand our distribution footprint. Most importantly you will be expected to maintain a focus on associate retention.

WHAT YOU LL DO HERE

  • You will oversee all distribution operations at the OHDC (Ohio Distribution Center) campus, which is made up of 2 fulfillment center buildings (totaling over 1,000 employees with a footprint of more than 1.2 million square feet)
  • In partnership with the GM and the OHDC Leadership group, the Director of DC Operations will drive the strategy, goals and priorities, down to the operations team, while maintaining an agile approach that allows us to adapt as business conditions change
  • Working with the Operations Mangers, this role will troubleshoot day-to-day problems and identify long-term resolutions
  • Research operational inefficiencies and make procedural or systematic recommendations to other members of the OHDC Leadership team
  • Communicate clear goals, expectations, and standards to the Operations teams on an on-going basis, including varying levels of communication for direct reports, support teams, associates, cross-functional teams and executive level updates as needed.
  • Ensure each building (each shift) operates with industry best practices in the areas of Efficiency, Customer Service, Quality and Safety
  • Collaborate with key partners on the creation of monthly and annual plans (budget forecast, labor planning and shipping SLA s)
  • Ensure fiscal responsibility through labor and supply cost control
  • Ensure operational alignment with the deliverables with stakeholder groups: Procurement, HR, Training, Inventory Control, IT, LP & Facilities/Maintenance
  • Invest in training and development for teams and associates to grow internal bench strength and create healthy succession pipelines
  • Work to ensure that the OHDC is striving to have a local and national Employer of Choice status
  • Partner with the Human Resource Department to facilitate development plans, reviews, interviews, hiring, terminations, and coaching
  • Provide Managers and Supervisors with meaningful developmental opportunities through effective job rotations, projects, coaching and feedback
  • Partner with HR to champion actions plans that come from our employee listening engagement surveys
  • Conduct monthly listening sessions with various members of the team to understand areas of opportunity to increase engagement and retention
  • This role will empower team members to deliver results against established goals and priorities, while creating an environment where everyone can do their best work
    WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
    • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations management, business administration, or a related field.
    • Proven experience (5+ years) in inventory planning, demand forecasting, or supply chain management, preferably in a managerial or leadership role.
    • Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage a team, prioritize and deliver on KPIs .
    • Experience in an automated warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.
    • Functional understanding of Microsoft tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
