Job Description:
As a Senior Appraisal Technologies Analyst, you would work with
managers, project supervisors, internal staff, and/or clients to
gather information to implement and support systems. This position
is responsible for gathering requirements, researching, analyzing,
designing, and developing data related solutions for tracking,
reporting, updating, and delivering data per client
specifications.Work with our technology-driven solutions for
property assessment and tax software and mass appraisal services.
From data collection to computer-assisted mass appraisal to tax
billing and collections, you can help develop property and
recording solutions for the public sector.LocationDayton,
OhioTravel10-25%ResponsibilitiesCollaborates with clients and
internal staff such as management and project supervisors/managers
to gather client requirements.Researches, analyzes, designs and
develops database reporting, tracking, process automation and
related database solutions in alignment with specifications and
timelines.Applies appraisal industry and systems knowledge and
database knowledge to identify and troubleshoot internal staff and
external client data issues/needs of basic to moderate
complexity.Extracts data from GIS system and transfers it to the
Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) system. Identifies
dataanomalies/discrepancies and analyses/troubleshoots to determine
viable solutions in alignment with client needs.Performs basic data
mapping and data conversion. Identifies client data field and
structure needs and maps and loads the data to the software
systems.Creates and runs reports to address specific needs and to
ensure data accuracy.Writes technical specification, scripts and
reports involving defining parameters, joining tables, querying,
developing scripts, creating reports and other data solutions using
technologies such as SQL ServerCreates training materials; presents
software related training on capabilities and functionality to
internal staff and clients.QualificationsBachelor's degree in
computer science, computer engineering, management information
science, math or equivalent technical discipline or equivalent
technical work-related experienceFamiliar with coding / scripting
languages such as: (SQL, PYTHON, XML)Strong aptitude with database
management systems software - (i.e. MS SQL Management Studio,
Oracle SQL Developer)Basic knowledge and understanding of data
mapping and data conversionStrong data extraction, conversion, and
manipulation skillsSolid analytical skills including data
analysisStrong attention to detail and root cause problem solving
skills for technical and non-technical issuesBasic knowledge and
understanding of software integration and connectivitySolid
organizational skillsStrong written and oral communications skills
including the ability to effectively write technical documentation
and specifications and train non-technical audiences on databases
and related tools and solutionsSolid interpersonal skills including
the ability to work independently and cooperatively on a teamStrong
time management skillsSolid knowledge of database and table
structures including fields, tables/joins, views, database objects,
etc.Solid MS SQL, Access, Oracle and related database knowledge and
understandingStrong querying, scripting and reporting knowledge and
understanding (i.e. SQL)Strong Microsoft Office experienceMust
possess the ability to pick up technical and non-technical concepts
quicklyFamiliar with county/municipal government property valuation
and assessment in the public or private sector is
preferred.Understanding of mass appraisal and/or Computer Assisted
Mass Appraisal systems knowledge is a plusMust be able to travel up
to 10%; must be able to provide a valid driver's license and a
reliable vehicle with personal liability insurance on the
