Position A M Leonard is looking for a Category Manager to manage a group or category of products for our company. Candidate be responsible for selecting, pricing, managing and the overall promotion and performance of product categories to maximize sales and profitability. Responsibilities Maintain a deep understanding of products, categories, and customer segments by analyzing industry data, gathering field knowledge, and researching industry trends. Devise long-term development strategies for products and product categories Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products Foster trust relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services Determine competitive pricing strategies for products and product categories to achieve profit goals Provide forecasts and buying guidelines to meet fill rates and inventory goals Propose new products for A M Leonard Brand and products for resale Maintain a deep understanding of shipping and packing impact on product and product categories profitability Provide support and training for product and product categories to the sales team Develop presentations that support the selling process and value proposition Provide product description, specifications, and photography guidelines for marketing Provide special order, large order support Attend Trade shows and customer visits X Qualifications 2-4 years related experience Solid knowledge of category management, marketing, and sales principles Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods Proficient in MS Office An analytical mind with a strategic ability Detail orientated Excellent communication and people skills BS/BA in business administration, marketing, or related field Work Authorization: A M Leonard will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States. Compensation and Benefits: A M Leonard offers an excellent wage and benefits package for full-time employees including Health/Dental/Vision/Prescription Drug Plan, Flexible Benefits Plan, 401K Retirement Savings Plan, Life and Disability Benefits, Paid Holidays, Paid Vacation, Tuition Reimbursement, and much more. We contribute $60 per month to enrolled employees--- HSA accounts. Employees not enrolled in our HDHP can still have access to our employee health clinic for just $20 per paycheck. There are also prescriptions available through this clinic at no cost. Employees can also access quick, convenient, and no-cost healthcare in the comfort of their homes 24/7 through our telemedicine partner. Employees also receive life insurance and short-term disability at no cost, and they have the option to purchase increased coverage through payroll deductions. We also offer long term disability, various Aflac plans, and a 401k plan with matching. Employees receive paid time off from day one, including 80 hours of vacation time (prorated based on the start date for the first year) and 40 hours of personal time. After the first full year of employment, eight additional hours of vacation are granted annually.
