Job Description:

Coordinates and delegates the responsibilities of the analysts assigned to the team. This includes the design, analysis, testing, installation and support activities for information systems solutions as required that are developed or acquired as part of the overall hospital network of integrated computer systems. At this level, the incumbent is expected to be competent with currently available software and equipment technology, especially within the healthcare industry. Incumbent must be able to provide assistance and consultation to hospital departments, with system application issues, and serve as technical coordinator between hospital departments and outside vendors. Incumbent applies principles of Reid's Mission, Vision, Values as well as adherence to the Key Service Behaviors of the organization.

  • Train, guide, and mentor entry-level staff that will allow them to be on the same level as the remaining staff
  • Coach and motivate staff to produce desired results
  • Manage day-to-day priorities of staff supporting assigned system
  • Provides technical subject matter expertise and business process knowledge to direct and guide the team
  • Manages team conflicts and communication issues escalating to systems managers as appropriate
  • Fosters a cohesive team environment treating all staff with respect
  • Delegate duties and responsibilities to staff and consultants
  • Monitor staff and provide necessary advice and guidance
  • Maintain staff time tracking and timecard maintenance and approvals
  • Complete timely appraisal of staff's performance and provide suggestions for improvement
  • Manage the consultants assigned to the team including but not limited to selection, assignments, monitoring progress, and sharing concerns with supervisor
  • Lead regular team meetings to obtain the status of assignments
  • Coordinate system implementations and upgrades
  • Review assignments for accuracy and completion
  • Assist departments and project teams in defining requirements for new systems
  • Participates in vendor selection process including demonstrations and functional comparison activities
  • Work with the rest of the department to achieve company goals and visions
  • Provide recommendations for better methods to handle assigned functions
  • Write and forward regular progress reports to management
  • Help provide solutions to complex IT related challenges in the organization
  • Carry out assigned administrative functions i.e., HealthStream staff assignment completions
  • Completes assigned Epic certifications, training, projects, and testing
  • Participates in change management activities
  • Execute company policies
  • Assist with the department goal setting
  • Advise supervisor of progress on projects and any major issues
  • Functions independently executing assignments with minimal oversight
  • Keep abreast of changes in the standards, technologies, or methodologies
  • Demonstrate awareness of fire and safety hazards by keeping current with the guidelines
  • Understand the Quality Assurance and Improvement Plan and participate in department activities as requested
  • Perform other assignments as specified by supervisor Qualifications
    • Able to assist in dispersing assignments to staff and consultants
    • Has comprehensive knowledge and skill to guide staff and consultants
    • Able to listen to staff and communicate instructions effectively
    • Able to motivate staff and maintain a comfortable and conducive working environment
    • Able to pay attention to details and encourage staff to do the same
    • Ability to manage personal stress, pressures, and challenges
    • Able to handle a large volume of changes, adjustments and multiple jobs at the same time
    • Able to take proactive steps in managing problems
    • Has in-depth knowledge of computer usage and programming
    • Has excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
    • Is security conscious and does all it takes to avoid sensitive data failing into the wrong hands
    • Is proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and Power Point Education/Experience Required:
    • Five years' experience with Information Services application development, training, and implementation in a healthcare setting.
    • Certification in at least one Epic application within 4 months of hiring if leading Epic staff
      Education/Experience Preferred: Associates Degree in related field.

      Work is generally conducted in an office environment. Travel to and work in offices throughout the enterprise is to be expected as well.

      Travel: Yes, travel between various offices in the enterprise

      Physical Requirements
    • Lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing carts, pulling carts, standing, sitting, walking, and climbing are all requirements of this position.
    • Other exposures are weather related due to travel between the facilities. Schedule DetailsDay Shift. Salary Position. 8a - 5p. Rotating on-call and weekend coverage.
